From a Newborn Portrait to a Work of Art

One of my favorite parts of newborn photography is creating something a family couldn't simply recreate at home.

For this sweet little girl, soft shades of purple were transformed into an enchanting dragon-inspired portrait. The monochromatic lavender tones, tiny floral headband, and whimsical dragon surrounding her make the finished image feel like it belongs in a storybook.

The second portrait takes that storybook feeling even further. A peacefully sleeping newborn rests on an open book surrounded by roses, butterflies, glowing lanterns, and a dreamy fairytale world. It transforms a tiny moment from the newborn stage into imaginative artwork that can become part of a family's story.

These types of images are created as newborn composite artwork. The baby's safety always comes first. Babies are never placed into unsafe environments or expected to physically pose inside elaborate fantasy scenes. The finished artwork is created using photography and careful post-processing.
